 Fun Stuff
What a way to bring the 2009 rodeo season to a close.  Winning the PRCA Bullfighter of the Year award was truly an honor and felt like a career award.  I was completely thrilled that my wife Nikki was with me at the awards banquet, she has supported me every step of the way.  2009 will be a year that I will remember for a long time!

The 2009 year was an exciting one! Along with all the great rodeos I got to fight bulls at, I also got to meet some really awesome people.

I get to work with some of the coolest people in rodeo.  We get the opportunity to give back to those who are less fortunate.  I truely am blessed to know so many great peole!

Fighting bulls for a living has it's "perks", getting to meet "Cross Canadian Ragweed" was a real treat.  I love their music, especially "17".  I think everyone can relate with that song about going home and feeling like you haven't changed a bit.
May 23rd was a BIG day for me.  Nikki and I got married!  We now live on 40 acres just outside of Calhan, Colorado.  Looking back, its hard to believe I stayed single so long... Im sure glad she came into my life!
Kids are great!!! Sometimes I can't believe kids look up to me like they do.. I always want to make time to visit with kids.  I think this world would be a better place if everyone spent time with kids and showed them that grown ups care!
Getting to hang out with Chuck Liddell was one of the coolest things I've ever done. This was made possible by Hot Iron Branding.  Chuck was an awesome guy and a gentleman. Im sure glad he posed with me for this great photo... But, honestly, it was a little scary.  I KNEW he would never hit me, but his stare down was pretty intimidating.
The Legend Miles Haire has allways been someone I looked up to! Getting to work along side him was a blast.  Miles fought bulls at Rodeo Houston for years and here is a photo of the saddle they gave him for is years of service.  What a beautiful saddle and a nice thing for Rodeo Houston to do.  "Miles, you're one of the greats"
My wife Nikki and I are music lovers and there is none better than Ronnie Milsap!  I have listened to Ronnie's music for years and I think he has the purest voice of anyone.  My favorite Ronnie Milsap song is "Prisoner of the Highway"

Larry The Cable Guy is one of the funniest comedians in the world and everyone loves him. I am very proud to be a part of the "Larry The Cable Guy Pro Rodeo Team". He is a Nebraska guy and he loves the Cornhuskers!  So, I love his jokes and I love his choice of college football teams. Go Larry the Cable Guy and GO BIG RED!!!

At a lot of rodeos, we get to go to Children's Hospitals and visit with the kids and hopefully put smiles on their faces.  As you can see in this photo, this little girl wasn't too sure about me, but she loosened up and not only did she find her smile, she found mine!
Even Matt Lauer got in on some of the action at Rodeo Houston!  Matt was a great guy to hang out with, but I'm pretty sure he is going to stay in New York and work on The Today Show.  I guess reporting the news is an easier way to make a living.
